So I'm halfway through work, and caught myself smiling to myself (I know, way to get distracted Serene!!). anyway, I remembered what I saw 2 days ago, on my way to the station, and this was during the peak hour.
Canary wharf station's peak hours, in my opinion are from 7.30-10.30am and 4.00 to 6.00pm, in this case the former would apply.
Those of you who don't know, canary wharf is the financial hub of London blablabla.
anyway, you get men and women in suits, with coffee in their hands, and a copy of the city a.m. which they give out in Jubilee Place and Canada Place, rushing to work. And I don't mean the usual London fast paced walking, it's usually faster than that in the morning.
So I was crossing the road and I saw the cutest thing; A man, presumably the father, in his early 30s I should think, with a copy of newspaper in one hand, and in the other a pink scooter, with a fluffy sort of keychain on the handles. On it was his daughter, probably 6, in her uniform and knee high socks. And she's shouting "daddy!! quick!! we'll be late!"
I don't know about you guys, but thinking about it makes me all warm and fuzzy all over- father and daughter rushing to work/school together, while the poor dad was trying to help his daughter balance on her tiny little scooter.
that is all. Back to work with my coffee, while Terry is doing his research on UK holiday cottages. Beats me.
toodles!!
